Diego Maradona

Diego Armando Maradona (Lanús, Buenos Aires; October 30, 1960), is a former soccer player and Argentine coach. He played as a midfielder or striker. Since 2019 he has directed Gimnasia de La Plata of the Argentine Super League. He is considered the "best historical player" of the Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli in Italy and one of the best players in the history of the Argentine National Team and in the history of world football. He is recognized by various specialists, journalists,  former soccer players and fans as the “best soccer player in history.” Likewise, he has been classified by some media as the “best player in World Cup history”, in which he was The "best player" in 1986, along with Pelé, was chosen by FIFA as the "best footballer of the 20th century" and was ranked fifth in the vote by IFFHS.
